Thanks WLAX, SOFT and BASE Teams/Thanks

This is my final regularly scheduled blog for 2007 (always a possibility to blog during a conference or NCAA Tournament game), so here it goes.

Just want to thank the three teams I got to travel with this spring, women's lacrosse, softball and baseball. I enjoyed all my trips I got to take with you during the spring and thanks for making me feel like I was part of the team. I enjoyed getting to know all of you and you are all great people. Want to thank the coaches and trainers too.

I want to thank all the athletes that I have traveled with and the coaches and trainers. I enjoyed the trips and I will always have fond memories of each trip. They all were different and all added to my memory quilt.

Getting to work with you all is why I love this job!

To those graduating, best of luck with everything! To those coming back, I can't wait to travel with you all next year!

F&M sweeps the twinbill with a 5-3 win in game two. The Shorewomen had the tying run on 2nd, but could not plate her.

That concludes my travels it looks like for the season (save potential Centennial and NCAA Tournament trips) and I hope you have enjoyed my blogs this season. I have enjoyed typing all of them. There will be one more blog coming, but I need some time to compose it and right now I need to pack up.

Take care everybody and look forward to blogging again (after my next one) come fall.

Good afternoon from Lancaster, the home of the Centennial Conference.

WC plated one in the bottom of the second when Tricia Carroll plated Amanda Campbell on a single through the left side to plate Amanda Campbell.

Greetings From Lancaster

While Friday was my final regularly scheduled road trip of 2006-07, I am on the road today with softball. This is due to the F&M-WC softball game scheduled for March 31 in Chestertown was PPD due to the umps not being assigned. So the game was rescheduled for today at F&M even though WC is the "home" team.

I will be scoring the game, so blogs will be infrequent. But I will try to blog when I can. To follow the game on live stats, here is the link: http://washingtoncollegesports.com/livestats/softball/xlive.htm

Hard to believe how fast this year has gone, felt like yesterday I blogged for the first time with women's soccer at Rowan. Wow, it's been a fast fast year.

More to come from where the 15th President of the United States, James Buchanan practiced law for three years.

Greetings from Westminster, the home of McDaniel for today's baseball game between the Shoremen and the Green Terror. The two teams played on Wednesday in Chestertown with WC pulling out a 4-1 win by scoring four times in the eighth. Eric Lickstein, in his first start of the year got the win and Greg Perret's two-run single snapped a 1-1 tie. The Shoremen will look to complete the sweep in a series they lead 57-51-1. The Diplomats scored an 13-2 victory this afternoon.

WC got on the board in the top of the ninth when Joe Coveney scored on a passed ball. Jim Bannar's RBI single to right field plated Tony Tozzolo.

I'd like to thank Frank, an F&M student worker, for keeping me company during the game and for spinning some good tunes. He let me pick a song and I picked "Paint It Black" by The Rolling Stones. To me, the song is an all-time classic.

Good night from Lancaster.

Live Stats

A pleasant surprise for all of you out in Blogland. The game will have live stats, visit this link to follow: http://washingtoncollegesports.com/livestats/baseball/xlive.htm

Enjoy the game all!

Greetings From Lancaster

Good afternoon from Dutch Country. It should be actually Deutsch Country, but somehow got misconstrued in translation and hence it is known as Dutch Country. This area was settled by the Germans, not the Dutch.

I am here with the baseball team as they look to snap a four-game losing streak at Franklin & Marshall in the first of a two-game set. The series concludes on Friday in Chestertown.

Good luck to men's and women's tennis at Johns Hopkins, softball vs. Ursinus at home and women's lacrosse at Swarthmore.

More blogs to come later this afternoon from Lancaster, PA.

Thanks to Ryan for his hospitality today!

WC 7-3, Halftime

Due to the cold, my blogs will be limited. Also I am calling for Ryan Griswold, so that too! Ryan says hello to all of you out there in blogland.

Caitlin Beane has four goals and Suzie Jakub has three goals as the Shorewomen lead 7-3 at half. Brittany Lambert has two assists, while Beane, Jenna Gouck and Melanie Ruppert each have one assist. Erin O'Brien has five saves.

More to come from the Main Line in suburban Philadelphia.

In 1996, Sports Illustrated wrote an article (one of SI's finest articles) on the 1929 Philadelphia A's, titled, "The Team That Time Forgot." Since I am near Philly, I decided to mention it. Great article and I recommend it to all baseball fans. That year the A's won the World Series, 4-1, over the Chicago Cubs.
