69-52 Hopkins FINAL

Washington will play Goucher tomorrow at noon.

64-50 Hopkins - 2:14 2nd

Washington had cut the lead to seven points with a 12-0 run, but the Blue Jays have regained control.

52-43 Hopkins 6:56 2nd

Green hits a three, cutting the lead to nine points as the Shoremen are on a 10-0 run.

52-40 Hopkins 7:39 left

Washington enjoyed a little bit of a run here to cut it to 12.

Hopkins has been red-hot this half. Washington just called a timeout after a Chambers layup.

Hopkins surges ahead with a lay-up by Alberici and back-to-back three's by O'Connell and Polster. Washington quickly calls tiemout.

A jumper by Beggans knotted the score and ended a first half where both teams struggled offensively.

Villa Julie wins the opener ... Hopkins/Washington set to begin in 30 minutes. Villa Julie will play the winner of Hopkins and Washington tomorrow in the fifth-place game at 2:00 p.m., while Goucher will play the loser in tomorrow's seventh-place game at 12:00 p.m.

Goucher/Villa Julie Goes into OT

Goucher and Villa Julie is headed into overtime tied at 73-73, so the Shoremen's game with Johns Hopkins will likely be starting late.

Shorewomen Win, 58-42

Conway posts double-double of 10 points, 14 rebounds. O'Donnell leads all scorers with 23 points.

Shorewomen 30, Staten Island 18 (HALF)

Staten Island held a 13-11 lead before the Shorewomen put the clamps on defensively, holding the Dolphins to just five points over the final 10:27 of the half. A 15-0 run gave the Shorewomen a 26-13 lead with 4:04 left in the period.

Jane O'Donnell leads the Shorewomen with eight points at the break, while Brenda Lucas and Elise Conway have six points each.

Bad News from Blogland

Unfortunately, the gym at St. Joseph is not conducive to mobile broadband signals and Jason is unable to get a connection, so there will be no blogging from our women's basketball game tonight.
