WC Sports This Weekend
Figured I would throw a blog in for January 2008, the first blog of 2008.
This Saturday, Feb. 2, all four winter teams are in action.
The swim teams travel to Centennial Conference rival Ursinus for a 1 pm swim meet at William Elliott Pool. Both teams downed the Bears last year in Chestertown. The men lead the all-time series 14-3, while the women hold a 15-5 lead in the all-time series.
The basketball teams host Gettysburg on Saturday at the Cain Athletic Center, with the women playing at 2 and the men at 4 in Centennial Conference action. The women are playing the Bullets for the first time this year, while the men are playing for the second time in 2007-08. The women downed Gettysburg last year 64-63 at Cain on a jumper by LaToya Turner with 2.1 left. The men fell in a close game on January 9, 77-74 in Gettysburg. The Bullets lead the all-time series 13-5 in the women and 19-8 in the men.
