Kaplan reaches on a leadoff single to the shortstop. Corbutt flied out to left field for the first out. During Huba's at-bat, Kaplan reached second on a wild pitch. Huba hit a comebacker to the pitcher and while he reached, Kaplan was thrown out a second, pitcher to the shortstop. Hines walked and Huba advances to second to put 1st and 2nd with two outs. DeBartolome laced a double to left-center to plate Huba and trim the deficit to 3-2. Boucher evened the score at 3-3 with single through the left side to drive in Hines. Gibbons grounded out to second, but the Shoremen tie the score up.
