I'm all set up here at Johns Hopkins for today's Provident Pride of Maryland consolation semifinal game against the Blue Jays. Live stats will be available here, so my blog updates will be less frequent than normal.
Goucher leads Villa Julie in the second half of the other consolation semifinal, 55-52.
Staten Island held a 13-11 lead before the Shorewomen put the clamps on defensively, holding the Dolphins to just five points over the final 10:27 of the half. A 15-0 run gave the Shorewomen a 26-13 lead with 4:04 left in the period.
Jane O'Donnell leads the Shorewomen with eight points at the break, while Brenda Lucas and Elise Conway have six points each.
Unfortunately, the gym at St. Joseph is not conducive to mobile broadband signals and Jason is unable to get a connection, so there will be no blogging from our women's basketball game tonight.
