Back at it...
Today is a new day, and the Shorewomen came out on all cylinders in today's first game against Springfield College. WC defeated SC, 6-3, and got some well timed hitting along with a great pitching performance from Diane Green.
I am writing this blog update right from Brown Park here in Kissimmee, Florida. Washington is currently down 9-1 going into the second inning. The Shorewomen comitted four errors in the top of the first inning, as all 9 runs given up were unearned. Amanda Campbell singled in the Shorewomen's run in the bottom of the first with a rope to right field.
Tomorrow we will be checking out of the hotel at 12 p.m. and will do some shopping at the outlets down the street before our flight leaves at 5 p.m.
Hopefully the Shorewomen can mount a comeback and return to Chestertown with two wins today under their belts.
