Softball Bounces Back

After dropping both games yesterday afternoon, the WC softball team rebounded this morning in St. Cloud, FL with a 3-0 victory over Concordia (WI). Diane Green pitched very well on the mound, and the Shorewomen were finally able to put some runs on the board down here in the Sunshine state.

The Shorewomen are playing against Anderson University as I am writing this update. WC just took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 4th. Beth Anne Hartman led off the inning with a double to right center. Green sacrificed bunted her over to third. Hartman then scored on a wild pitch.

Last night after the games we went out to a place called Firehouse Subs, while others who weren't in the mood for subs went next door to Dairy Queen.

After dinner, a group of us went to the Super Target next to our villa and picked up some odds and ends. We got to bed at a reasonable time and left from the villa at 9:30 a.m for today's games.

We will be grabbing lunch after this game, and then who knows after that.

I'll be back with more from Florida a little later.
