WC Splits In Volleyball

The Shorewomen gained a split (1-1) in the second and final day of the 2006 Maryland Division III Volleyball Tournament. In the opening match against Frostburg State, the Shorewomen fell 3-0 (30-27, 30-28, 30-27). Nanna Kozemchak had 13 kills in just 17 attempts in the match. WC gained the split by sweeping Goucher 3-0 (30-18, 30-20, 30-24) in the second tilt. Goucher led 24-22 in the 3rd set before Mallory Kurtz served eight straight points to wrap up a victory for WC.
