Game Two Nearly Underway

The Shorewomen's second game of the day is nearly about to get started in a few short minutes against Roanoke, the defending Old Dominion Athletic Conference Champions. In the first game against Moravian, the Shorewomen scored three runs in the third to take a 3-0 lead. Emily Adams capped the inning with an RBI single up the middle to plate Beth Anne Hartman. However in the bottom of the sixth the Greyhounds struck for five to pull out the victory, highlighted by a bases clearing RBI triple to put Moravian up 4-3.

WC will look for a split of today's action.

On a side note, one of the groundskeepers here played high school baseball with Mets' 3B David Wright at Hickory HS in Norfolk, VA. Being a Mets fan and Wright being my favorite player, I found this fascinating.
