WC-Johns Hopkins MSOC Primer

Tonight over in Baltimore the Washington College Shoremen will take on the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays in Centennial Conference men's soccer action. This is the 63rd meeting between the schools with JHU holding a 38-22-2 lead and is the most matches WC has played against one opponent. The Blue Jays captured a 2-1 victory last season in Chestertown and have won the previous 13 meetings. The Shoremen's last win was in 1992 when WC prevailed 5-2.

Johns Hopkins captured the first meeting between the schools in 1946 by a score of 4-3. WC won its first meeting in the rivalry in 1947 with a 4-2 triumph.

I will be back with more later today from the home of Cal Ripken Jr. and Johnny Unitas.
