Some WC Football History

Washington College has not had football since 1950, but from 1914-49, Johns Hopkins and WC played 19 times, with WC winning eight times. WC won the first meeting on October 17, 1914 by a score of 16-14. Johns Hopkins catpured the final meeting, 19-7, on October 7, 1949. Washington College's last victory was on October 11, 1941 in Chestertown by a score of 6-0. The two teams played 11 consecutive seasons from 1931-41. WC won four in a row from 1934-37 by scores of 13-0, 10-0, 8-7 and 33-0.
