New Beginnings
Work on the Washington College stadium project has begun; today saw the removal of the old pressbox, concession stand, and scoreboard from Kibler Field. You can follow the progress of the project on the Washington College Athletics web site.
The field hockey team was the first Washington team to scrimmage an outside opponent this year, hosting Wesley this afternoon. (Ryan and I were at the scrimmage getting some practice in of our own with the stat software.) The Shorewomen looked strong against a tough Wesley squad. The team will open with games at national-caliber opponents Montclair State and William Paterson next Saturday and Sunday (September 3rd and 4th), respectively.
