War on the Shore Primer

Tomorrow at 1 pm, one of the biggest rivalries in all of men's college lacrosse will take place in Salisbury as Washington College travels down the Delmarva Peninsula to take on Eastern Shore rival Salisbury. The Shoremen enter the game at 12-1 and No. 4 in the USILA poll, while the Sea Gulls are 17-0 and No. 1.

This will be the 41st meeting between the two teams. Salisbury leads the all-time series 21-19, including the last seven. Washington's last win was in 2002, when the Shoremen prevailed in Salisbury by a 14-10 score. In the 30 regular season meetings, the Sea Gulls lead 17-13 as the Shoremen lead 6-4 in NCAA Tournament games. The two teams played from 1974-76 and every year since 1981.

More to come tomorrow from Salisbury.
